The seventh track from Tears for Fears'' third album The Seeds of Love (1989); it was written by Roland Orzabal and Nicky Holland. Orzabal noted an influence from Tom Petty''s "American GIrl" on the song''s rhythm. It was initially planned to be the first song on the album, featuring what co-producer Dave Bascombe described as "this huge epic pompous intro", but "Woman in Chains" wound up taking its place and the intro was cut.
